After doing tours for quite some time, we tend to get similar questions about traveling in Ethiopia. Below are some of the most common tips we give our travelers in Ethiopia. For answers to our most frequently asked questions about the Lalibela Brew Tour, you can go to our FAQ page.

  1. Be prepared to have limited communication with the outside world

Traveling in Ethiopia may be slightly frustrating for those travelers that are chronically attached to their mobile phones, and especially the internet. While Ethiopia's mobile infrastructure is continuously expanding, there is only a single carrier in the country and it's owned by the government. As a result, there are unannounced shut downs of the internet service, as well as spotty internet access outside of Addis Ababa (and often within it). We suggest that prior to traveling you tell your friends and love ones that you may not have constant access to the internet and they shouldn't worry. After all, travel in Ethiopia is very safe.

Don't worry - Lalibela Brew Tour runs whether there's internet or not. We accept bookings at all times because our reservation center is based in the US.
